Corporate Social Responsibility - National Public Policies in the European Union

Study financed and prepared for the use of the European Commission, DG Employment, under the services contract VC/2009/0532 - Publications Office of the European Union, 2011 - ISBN 978-92-79-19720-8 - doi:10.2767/29577

The compendium covers the different kinds of tools EU countries use, whether these are legal instruments (legislation), economic and financial instruments (incentives), informational instruments (awareness-raising), partnering instruments (multi-stakeholder encouragement), or "hybrid" instruments (a combination of the above). Examples are given, as is an index of initiatives by EU country, and relevant national websites. The compendium provides a contemporary snapshot of the wealth of CSR activity in the EU countries, and acts as a reminder that there is more to be achieved and built on.
