Abstracts of around 500 to 1000 words on the conference’s central theme, ‘the institutions that make social justice’. Papers could be from a legal, historical, sociological, economic or other perspective, and may be critical or not, so long as they are thoughtful and well researched. Papers can relate to the general theme, but we are particularly interested in four categories:

• political institutions, especially international integration or co-operation
• public services and the environment
• corporations, commercial, financial, competition or consumer regulation
• labour rights and institutions for solidarity
