WP C.S.D.L.E. “Massimo D’Antona”.IT – 455/2022

The paper argues for the need of a strong commitment by. the social parties and public institutions in order to implement the ambitious programs of the Italian recovery plan and to accompany them with consistent national policies.

The author analyses the main contents and objectives of a possible social pact, namely: the conditions for a just transition; the active labor and industrial policies necessary to sustain the redistribution of resources and people among many different sectors and enterprises which is required by the digital and green economy; the measures directed to promote gender and intergenerational parity and to combat against growing multidimensional inequalities; the necessary innovations in industrial relations, particularly in order to enable collective agreements to guarantee adequate minimum wages ,according to the proposal of European directive; the ways and means to protect wages against booming inflation; the possible forms of workers participation aimed at regulating the digitalisation of work.
