The paper takes its clue from the collection of essays edited by Bruno Caruso and Giorgio Fontana (Lavoro e diritti sociali nella crisi europea, Il Mulino, 2015) to launch a critical discussion about the nexus between the EU crisis and the transformations of labour law in Europe in the perspective of the Commission’s public consultation Towards a European Pillar of Social Rights.
